What is Business Law?

Business law (or transnational law) is broad legal area. In simplest terms, business law involves the legality of business creation and administration.

Common areas of business law include: compliance with state and federal regulations, contract/lease creation and evaluation, business formation, franchising, and non-profit business compliance.

Generally, business lawyers deal with issues outside a courtroom. Issues requiring litigation are normally handled by trial attorneys. Business lawyers often serve as counselors-at-law, providing clients with referrals to specialists best suited to assist a client's needs.

Therefore, business lawyers often collaborate with Litigators, Bankruptcy attorneys, Wills & Trusts attorneys etc.
